* Technical Data Sheet values refer to PA/PE vacuum bags at 55 µm thickness.

PA/PE vacuum bags are widely used in the food industry for packaging meat, sausages, cheese, fish and seafood — effectively preserving freshness and extending shelf life. They are also used for semi-finished and ready meals, including freezing and sous-vide cooking. Beyond food, these bags are used for medical devices, electronics and other goods requiring protection from moisture, air and contamination.

Heat-Shrinkable Bags for Cheese Ripening, Storage & Transport

Creates a reliable barrier against oxygen, moisture and contamination while maintaining controlled gas permeability — allowing the cheese to breathe during ripening. High strength and elasticity reduce product weight loss during storage and transport.

The difference between levels is not thickness or strength — it is regulated gas exchange, selected to match the cheese type and ripening stage. The right choice controls microflora, prevents defects (bloating, mould) and shapes the desired flavour profile.

The correct gas permeability level enables controlled microflora development, proper flavour and texture formation, and prevents common defects such as bloating and surface mould. Select based on cheese variety and its ripening stage — not on packaging thickness.

Use High permeability for cheeses requiring active gas exchange during ripening. Use Medium permeability for varieties with moderate gas production, where tighter control is needed. Contact our technical team for a product-specific recommendation.
